Direct Debits & Standing Orders
A Direct Debit or Standing Order can be set up to transfer funds automatically from a bank account into your credit union account on a regular basis – weekly, fortnightly or monthly. This is a great way to save and also allows member to make loan repayments without having to call into the office.

CUTE is our fully automated interactive telephone answering service, giving you direct access to your account details and other information at anytime from anywhere. The CUTE system allows you to access information regarding your account without actually having to ring the Credit Union.
It’s simple to use! Using a touch tone phone dial the CUTE telephone number 042 974 6162, where it is explained how to get your details on your account. All you need is your Account Number and Date of Birth.
Have savings or loan repayments deducted from your wages and paid directly to Castleblayney Credit Union with our Payroll Deduction facility.
Transfer funds electronically either online or over the counter using our e-cheque facility.
No time to queue? Just complete our Quick Lodge transaction slip and envelope, drop it in the box provided in the office and your transaction will be processed.
Debit Card Payments
Members can use debit cards in branch or over the phone to make payments for the following services:
- Loan repayment
- Lodgement to shares/savings
Social Welfare Payments
Have social welfare payments, for example, child benefit, pensions, etc., paid directly into your credit union account. Ask a member of staff for more details.
Online Funds Transfer
Transferring money FROM a bank account:
If you would like to transfer money from your online bank or by credit transfer from a bank account to your Credit Union account. The following are the details needed:
- Your Member IBAN Number (International Bank Account Number) – contact the office for details or these details can be viewed on cu-online/Your Account/Eft Current Account/More Info
- BIC: A BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is similar to the old bank sort code and identifies the beneficiary’s bank. Please contact the office for details.
Please note, that if you have a number of accounts with Castleblayney Credit Union (Shares/Loan) it is important that you fill up a Contribution Disbursement Form in our office in advance of sending funds into your account using your IBAN/BIC so we can correctly disburse your funds into the account(s) that you specify.
Transferring money TO a bank account:
Can’t make it to the bank or would like to avoid the queue? Funds can be transferred electronically to your Bank Account in a safe, simple and convenient way by logging into cu-online.
Members can pay their bills at Castleblayney Credit Union. There are no charges and bills will be processed within 3-5 working days.
Members can also pay bills online and transfer funds from the member’s secure area. To avail of this service members have to register online for a PIN.
