The process by which prospective members can join
Prospective members may apply to join the credit union by:
- completing the Membership Form
- paying the entrance fee
- subscribing for shares of at least the minimum value &
- providing the identity & other documentation set out in the Anti-Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing & Sanctions Policy.
All applications for membership must be considered by the Membership Officer acting as the Membership Committee and for legal purposes approval by this committee is the time from which membership commences.
What you need to join
- Your Photo ID
A valid Passport or Drivers licence (Provisional and Full)/Garda ML10 Forms
Joint Account? If you are opening a joint account we will require proof of ID for all parties on the account.
Married? If you are married – just provide your Marriage Certificate to cover any proof that is in your maiden name.
Juvenile? If no photographic ID is available a full version of child’s birth certificate plus photo ID for parent/guardian will be acceptable.
- Your Proof of Address
Utility Bill (e.g. Gas, Electricity, Telephone) – dated within the last 3 months.
Bank Account Statement – dated with within the last 6 months.
Juvenile? Proof of address in parent/guardians name will suffice.
- Your PPS Number
You will need one proof of PPS number for all parties named on the account.
- P60, P45
- P21 Balancing Statement
- Employers Payslip
*P60 and P45 cannot be used for address verification
Juvenile? Social service card for the child or a letter from the department of Social Protection confirming their PPS Number.
