Annual General Meeting 2020

AGM 2020

Notice to Members

Dear Members,

Due to public health measures currently in place to combat Covid-19, it is not possible to hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in December. There is no legislation in place at present to provide other options to holding our AGM. Drafting has begun by the Government on a Credit Union Bill to amend the Credit Union Act 1997 (as amended). The proposed Bill will facilitate alternative methods of holding AGMs and provide for other forms of voting. It also allows for a temporary period for Credit Unions to delay holding AGMs for the financial year end September 2020 until April 2021. It is hoped that this bill will be enacted before the end of 2020.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused but assure you that the health and safety of Members, Volunteers and Staff will continue to be our priority. We will keep you informed and will share further details of our AGM as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Stay Safe,

Sean Duffy
